The Ladislav Hanus Fellowship (SLH) is a civic association of young graduates and university students, who embrace the vision to actively contribute to understanding and developing Christian faith and culture in Slovakia.

We believe that Christians who want to be successful in their mission to bring the Christian spirit into our society, should have basic philosophical and theological knowledge, lead a deep spiritual life and create a friendly community of alike-minded people, who support each other.

SLH is a Catholic fellowship that is at the same time open to all Christians and all people seeking truth. One of the main activities we organize to achieve this vision is a 12-week long academic and leadership development program that takes place twice a year. In 2013 we have opened the 22nd semester.

The program is aimed at university students or recent graduates.
They attend facilitated discussion sessions which presuppose detailed study of the texts from the syllabi (some of them in English). In addition, students are expected to write and present essays, which initiate further discussions.

The program includes 12 lectures by invited guest speakers, a team-building weekend, an academic weekend seminar and a retreat.

Apart from this core programme, the Fellowship runs a series of other academic programmes, public lectures and discussions. SLH also organizes a week-long Christian academic festival “Bratislava Hanus Days” (; Bratislava For Life event, in cooperation with the Forum for Life (; and many other academic, as well as community activities.
